Hello,
I’m Alba, and I would like to accompany you on the path to feeling ready.
My building blocks
I am a Spanish expat based in Berlin, with a 1.5-year-old buddy and a deep sense of fulfilment.
I graduated in Biochemistry and specialised in cognitive neuroscience and psychobiology. I chose to pursue my career outside of the microscope, shaping science and innovation ecosystems at policy and institutional levels. My career as a strategy consultant for research funders and research institutions taught me to think systemically and to identify, mediate, and work through the factors that block clear decision-making. I maintain a very active life and take deep care of my body and mind.
Intrinsic to how I experience the world, I am deeply passionate about the human psyche and the decision pathways that tilt our lives in different directions. With motherhood, a new layer of fascination for the female body, for the creation of life, and a profound respect for the complexity of deciding to take that step grew in me.
My work leading these workshops combines my personal experience and professional competencies with the self-training and study of all these years.
My fellow mom friends know me as the energetic one :-)
Do you feel ready for motherhood?

My own journey
I asked myself this question around six years ago.
And although I had a certain sense that I did want to have children, I certainly did not feel ready. Indeed, I felt very lost. The idea of motherhood was a big shadow in my head.
Even though I had a solid partnership, so much of who I was seemed incompatible with having children: I was career-oriented, living abroad far from my family, and strongly attached to my independence and sense of identity.
It took me several years to feel truly clear, certain, and brave enough to take that step.
Those years, I kept wondering whether I would like the person I might become, and whether I would be happy living what I imagined as a more “family-oriented” life. The unknowns of pregnancy, and my fear of birth, did little to quiet those doubts. Also, the timing never seemed quite right.
The self-exploration process that led me to my answer — and the following learning journey that continued through pregnancy, birth, and everything that followed — has been one of the most meaningful journeys of self-understanding I have ever lived through.
The raw experience, the lessons I learned, and the thinking systems that helped me move through that process have shaped the design of the workshop experience that I bring today to support other women exploring this same question.
